The Sky Condition Checker is a tool which captures photos of the front and back of your phone and uses AI to assess for any damage to the screen or to the back of the phone.
You don't have to go through the Sky Condition Checker but it will only take you a couple of minutes and as we would like to guarantee the quoted value for your Swap if no damage is indicated, we can only do that if you complete the Sky Condition Checker steps in full.
Only after you have got your new device you will receive a text with a link to the Sky Condition Checker. Click on this link and follow the instructions. You will need use your new phone to take the pictures of your old phone
Currently the Sky Condition Checker can only be used on a mobile phone. We hope to be able to extend this service to other devices in the future.
No problem. At the point you review your picture please just click on the 'Retake image' button and take a new photo
Once we receive your device, we will look at the photos during the assessment and compare them to the actual device we receive from you. We are only interested in the photos of your phone and nothing else you might have captured too. Any photos will be handled in accordance with our privacy policy which can be found here www.skytradein.co.uk/privacy-and-cookie-policy
Yes, if the tool identifies damage, it will add a red box to the photo showing where the damage has been found, we'll take a closer look at this once we receive your phone and if the value quoted needs to be amended then Sky will be in touch
If no damage or the damage found matches your grading responses, then Sky will offer you the quoted value. If damage is identified by the Sky Condition Checker, we will take a closer look once we receive your device and if the value quoted needs to be amended then Sky will be in touch
Once you have been through the Sky Condition Checker just re-use the packaging and returns label you received with your new device to send back your old device
Our returns packaging is designed to prevent this, but if it is, then by using the Condition Checker we have a record of the phone condition before you sent it to us.
